All the Members of Caister Lifeboat are volunteers who give their services free, without any form of remuneration. This enables all the money that is donated to Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service to go directly to the lifesaving operation. Fund Raising events take place throughout the year, whilst many other organisations organise events and other activities to fund raise for the lifeboat. Caister also has two separate branches at Beccles and Wymondham which operate independently to support the lifeboat.
If you and your organisation would like to assist us or have any fund raising ideas please contact the Chairman and crew member of the Caister Lifeboat, Paul Garrod, who will be pleased to deal with your request or forward details to the appropriate person in our organisation. Call 01493 722001 or e-mail caisterlifeboat@btconnect.com.

The Iysha was taking on water. Crew Andrew Turner, Richard Miles and Steven Sheales were first on scene, followed by Jamie Smith, Karl Purenins, who brought two petrol powered pumps, and Jack Atkinson. Our pumps helped remove four feet of water from the fishing hold and engine room, assisting the two pumps already running. We left at 20h00, the vessel sitting about four inches higher in the water than when we found her, and the skipper of the vessel is assessing repairs.
