All the Members of Caister Lifeboat are volunteers who give their services free, without any form of remuneration. This enables all the money that is donated to Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service to go directly to the lifesaving operation. We are always on the look out for people to contribute their time and enthusiasm to Caister Lifeboat. Caister Lifeboat was paged by HM Coastguard at 11:49hrs to reports of a motor cruiser with steering problems off Winterton. The vessel, Osprey, had one person on board. The lifeboat was launched at 11.57hrs, arrived on scene at 12:04hrs and had the vessel on tow by 12:11hrs which was then towed safely to Great Yarmouth harbour and tied up opposite the Town Hall.
