Yacht in Trouble off Lowestoft

The lifeboat was called out and sent approx 22 miles off lowestoft to the aid of a yacht that was in a lightning storm and had lost his rudder and all communications. Lowestoft lifeboat and the HMS Mursey where also tasked to assist the yacht. The yacht was towed safely back to Lowestoft by the Lowestoft lifeboat and the Caister boat returned bact to Caister at 05.00. The coxwain and crew where praised for the short time they took from the shed to the yacht considering the poor weather conditions.
