Support us

All the Members are volunteers who give their services free, without any form of remuneration. This enables all the money that is donated to the Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service go directly to the lifesaving operation.
Fund Raising events take place throughout the year, the main ones are organised directly by CVLS and include a Beer Festival, an Annual lifeboat Fete and Children's Carol Service.

We have a site on "Just Giving" that enables donations to be made directly to the Lifeboat Service.. Just click on "Just Giving" and type in Caister Lifeboat to follow the links...
Additionally many other organisations that are not directly associated with Caister Lifeboat organise events and other activities to fund raise for the lifeboat. Caister also has two separate branches at Beccles and Wymondham which operate independently to support the lifeboat.

If you and your organisation would like to assist us or have any fund raising ideas please contact. The Chairman and crew member of the Caister Lifeboat, Paul Garrod, who will be pleased to deal with your request or forward details to the appropriate person in our organisation.

Telephone: 01493 722001

Collection boxes are also available from our Treasurer on the same number.

Additionally speakers from the lifeboat are willing to give talks on the organisation from its start as a Beach Company in 1794 up to the present day, and cover its development as an independent charity since 1969.

While Caister Lifeboat enjoys fundraising through events where our community and supporters can come along and enjoy themselves, legacies give us the chance to plan the long-term future of lifesaving off Norfolk, by allowing us to purchase the best boats and equipment we need. You can find more information at and your solicitor will need our charity number: 262126 if you choose. Or contact our finance director David Carr 01493 720210 or for more advice on how you could help save a life after death.
