All the Members are volunteers who give their services free, without any form of remuneration. This enables all the money that is donated to the Caister Volunteer Lifeboat Service go directly to the lifesaving operation.
Fund Raising events take place throughout the year, the main ones are organised directly by CVLS and include a beach barbeque, an annual lifeboat fete and a firework evening.
Additionally many other organisations that are not directly associated with Caister Lifeboat organise events and other activities to fund raise for the lifeboat. Caister also has two separate branches at Beccles and Wymondham who operate independently to support the lifeboat.

Additionally speakers from the lifeboat are willing to give talks on the organisation from its start as a Beach Company in 1794 up to the present day, and cover its development as an independent charity since 1969.
