The Lookout Café & Terrace

Welcome to The Lookout Café — a bright and friendly café tucked inside the Caister Lifeboat Shed.


We serve freshly prepared food made on-site, from hearty breakfasts to light lunches, along with proper coffee, homemade cakes and savouries.


Take a seat indoors overlooking the lifeboats, or relax outside on our terrace with views towards the beach. Well-behaved children and dogs are always welcome!

The Lookout Café is open year-round and run entirely by local volunteers and lifeboat supporters. Whether you’re calling in for a coffee, a slice of cake, or just to enjoy the sea view, every visit helps keep our independent lifeboat service afloat.

 Your visit helps us train volunteer crews, maintain our lifeboats, and continue saving lives at sea — a tradition that’s been part of Caister for over 200 years.
